Save, shipped wrecked (away from God) and getting on another boat trying to make it happen. In the back of my mind I was thinking that one day I would hit it big and that would be enough but just like any addiction, it is never enough until you're dead, dead to the things and dead to people around you and mentally. You even start to look dead. I was in so deep not realizing that this boat had a hole in it and was surely going to sink one day. Day after day I thought I could sneak away and get a quick fix but that wasn't enough. I was going down fast, about to loose everything I had. Wow, the things we do to feed our addictions. I was trying to keep my composure around people. I kept myself up but inside I was so unhappy with me and hurting. I wanted to stop. I tried to stop, but didn't know how. I cried out a many of times but the monkey on my back wouldn't let me go. I even called gamblers anonymous.

WHERE I AM TODAY
Being a member here at CCI for many years has really changed my life in lots of areas and instilled in me Godly wisdom that keep me on the right path. Having Pastors like Brian and Carla O'Neil and members that don’t pass judgment plays a big part. At first I was very hesitant to release certain information about my gambling addiction for fear of being judged. My pastors at CCI made me feel comfortable. I was given Godly instructions and this was very instrumental in getting free from my gambling addiction.
Today I am free from my gambling addiction. I gambled with God and I won. I gave him my whole heart and he heard my sincere cry for help. I have a clear mind and now I am the lender not the borrower. I have my own business that brings in money every month and I can see the benefits: I own two cars and I'm on my way to becoming a millionaire. CCI has really played an instrumental role in my life.
Am I reaping some things because of some seeds that I had sown? Yes, but with God all things are possible. Don't give up hope if you are struggling with your addiction because with God you win. Trust Him and trust His word because it's true. I now know that all things ARE possible with Christ.
